Firsts

I've done this most years on my other blog: the first sentence of the first post of every month for the previous year.

January: That's My Boy!
I'm so proud! Still am.

February: Weeping.
Abortion should be legal. The blogger who wrote the post I wept over took the post down.

March: Beautiful post on the meaning of Marshall's Remarks.
Read it. Link broken, alas, and I am unable to find the post on Feministing's new site.

April: I live the Amendments, Part III.
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. I love reading the Constitution.

May: Blogging Against Disablism Day was May 1st.
Go read the many myriad wonderful posts that were written about and against Disablism. It's my favorite annual blog carnival

June: Ambivalence.
1 : simultaneous and contradictory attitudes or feelings...toward an object, person, or action. I wish I remembered WHAT this post was about.

July: Work. Vacation. Work.
I've been offline more than on the last couple of weeks. Hmmm...sounds familiar.

August: Wardrobe.
One side-effect of being a canvasser is you get t-shirts. Less than two months later, I gave my Obama t-shirt away to my cousin, who lives in Paris, for her birthday.

http://doorbellqueen.blogspot.com/2010/09/from-inbox.html: From the Inbox.
A Worst Case Scenario: It Could Happen Here. Treating some outpatient procedures differently because of politics? It could happen.

October: Do you remember?
Which was the first presidential election you voted in and who you voted for? Yup.

November
: Was gonna post yesterday for NaBloPoMo...
but something came up. Boy, that was a whole lot of no fun at all.

December: In Memoriam.
Christine Lavin singing "The Dakota". In honour of the anniversary of John Lennon's death.
