My response?
Because we all know that he could beat Suzanne Volpe. And yes, Susan Buckley could, too. As could Andrea (probably).John, if you were running for BOS, I'd be giving you money. But you're not. And I'm still pissed at you about that.

Why would he take a chance to run for BOS and possible lose when he was probably promised the world by his benefactor John Wood and Educate Loudoun?
ReplyDeleteThat's a bit harsh, LI. I don't think we'll see "the world" listed on John's finance reports. He says he wants to finish some things he's started on the school board. Taking that at face value isn't a bad place to start, and it's not contradicted by taking those donors' money.
ReplyDeleteI support John's re-election because he is the member of the school board that I believe does the best job of working with the BOS. He's honest, direct, and intelligent. His predecessor as chair isn't running, so there is no reason to slam him at any length. I will only say I found him hard to work with, and that problem went away when John became chair.
For the record, the other two school board candidates I like are Eric Hornberger and Bob Oh! Both of them are also very bright guys and willing to buck the superintendent when necessary.
(I always write that last one's name as "Bob Oh!" because no one can spell his last name, and I think the "!" suits him.)
