You may remember a night when I returned from a Zoning Ordinance Review Committee meeting in 2005, and told you I had felt required by Virginia's disclosure laws to tell my fellow ZORCers that I was doing some litigation-support work for a DC firm on behalf of a local institution, one that is well known for its highly conservative ideology. When they said, "We're a little surprised," I explained that, after an extensive spectrographic analysis, I had been able to determine that the client's money was an acceptable shade of green.
I wouldn't take just anyone as a client, but they all have a right to call on the justice system for decisions. Most of them are okay to work for in that context. Likewise, I know you wouldn't give just anyone's commercial message a space on this blog, but the marketplace can decide for itself what to buy. If you can get paid a fair fee to facilitate that process, why not?
